Steve Gilmore and Martha Milligan met with a group of children at the library in Marshville on June 13 to present a program on responsible dog ownership for their summer reading program titled “Paws, Claws, Scales and Tails”. Martha brought two Jack Russells, Maggie and Brevity and Steve brought two Shelties, Aries and Flash. Literature from AKC plus coloring books was handed out. The children got a hand- on demonstration by getting to hold the dogs in their lap. Steve gave a demonstration on the trick that his dogs know. The program was well received by the leaders and children.
